About
About Grand Ballet School
We publish Barre to Stage: an illustrated, graded ballet curriculum that takes a dancer from the first plié to the thirty-two fouettés.
What we publish
The Ballet Study Manual Series has 8 graded levels plus one shared Reference Guide, totalling 572 pages. Every volume follows one editorial standard: a graded progression, anatomically precise line illustrations and instructions written to be taught from.
It is designed for ballet schools and their teachers as classroom material, and for students and enthusiasts as a serious study manual at home. It works alongside any method or syllabus.
How the manuals are written
- Each level opens with its prerequisites, what is new and a four-part learning path.
- Every level covers barre, centre, allegro, and pointe (F) or men's work (M).
- Levels 7 and 8 add partnering, repertoire, mime and stage presence.
- Safety first: never force turnout or work through pain, and follow every teacher-only label.
